Federal Grant Award
IN
Atterbury Muscatatuck Training Center.
Installation Readiness
$462,494.00
Enables the Town of Prince's Lakes to carry out a recommendation of an earlier resilience study to design an additional water line to support the continued mission readiness of the Atterbury Muscatatuck Training Center. The new water line will increase water quantity and quality for all parties, and increase redundancy in the water system, which will improve water resilience and fire protection for the military installation. Fiscal Year 2022 Award
AR
Mountain Home Air Force Base
Installation Readiness
$141,818.00
Enables the City of Mountain Home, Idaho, to construct an additional drinking water well and associated infrastructure including roadway and stormwater improvements. The project supports Mountain Home Air Force Base by expanding development opportunities for housing and support infrastructure for mission personnel. Installation personnel currently experience challenges locating housing in close proximity to the installation and are commuting long distances and paying higher costs for transportation and a place to live. Fiscal Year 2022 Award
HI
Installation Readiness
$1,113,238.00
Enables the City and County of Honolulu Office of Climate Change, Sustainability & Resiliency and the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa to conduct a resilience study that analyzes the resiliency and sustainability of community infrastructure to support the continued mission readiness of Marine Corps Base Hawai'i.
FL
Northwest Florida Region
Installation Readiness
$1,284,195.00
Enables the West Florida Regional Planning Council (aka Emerald Coast Regional Council) and local installations to develop a regional approach that integrates critical military resilience concerns into the strategies, plans, and investments of surrounding municipalities to foster, protect, and create a resilient future that considers the unique contributions of Northwest Florida's military operations. Both the process and resulting products will increase collaboration, identify the responsibilities and capabilities of key stakeholders, and pave the way for joint planning of priority capital improvement projects to benefit the military and residents of Northwest Florida. The action plan that results from this review will guide investments in infrastructure and services to enhance the military mission, achieve facility and infrastructure savings and increase military, civilian, and industrial readiness across the region. Fiscal Year 2022 Award
CA
Naval Base San Diego
Installation Readiness
$500,000.00
Enables the City of National City to assess the feasibility of the 8th Street Mobility Hub concept and evaluate additional pedestrian, bicycle, and Neighborhood Electric Vehicle shuttle connections to existing and proposed entry control points to improve parking capacity and commuter accessibility to Naval Base San Diego. The study will leverage existing planning efforts and conduct condition modeling to assess key transportation challenges comprehensively. Fiscal Year 2022 Award
NY
Fort Drum
Installation Readiness
$179,430.00
Enables the Development Authority of the North Country to conduct a water line assessment and develop a business plan for the 11-mile water line that feeds Fort Drum. Fiscal Year 2020 Award
CA
Travis Air Force Base
Installation Readiness
$1,280,176.00
Enables the City of Fairfield to conduct a study that analyzes the threat of public safety power outages, wildfires, extreme drought, and other natural and man-made threats, such as high winds on the regional infrastructure supporting Travis Air Force Base. These insights will be used by local government entities, in cooperation with installation leadership, to prioritize specific investments to maintain military installation readiness. Fiscal Year 2022 Award
RI
Naval Station Newport
Installation Readiness
$48,290.00
Enables the City of Newport, in concert with surrounding local communities and the University of Rhode Island, to conduct a resilience study that analyzes the impact of super storms, flooding and sea level rise on regional infrastructure to support the continued mission readiness of Naval Station Newport.
CA
Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton
Defense Community Infrastructure Program
$3,500,000.00
Enables the City of Oceanside, California to construct a new fire station. The project will enhance installation readiness at Camp Pendleton by replacing the existing 92-year old fire station, which does not meet current seismic standards and is unable to accommodate adequate apparatus to serve the adjacent Marine Corps base. The replacement will enhance the flexibility and redundancy of emergency response resources provided to the installation by the city. Fiscal Year 2021 Award
CA
March Air Reserve Base
Defense Community Infrastructure Program
$4,329,268.00
Enables the Western Municipal Water District to build a local groundwater connection (pressure reducing station, metering station, and transmission main) that enhances installation readiness at March ARB by creating a redundant water supply to the base and allowing for any future base mission expansion. The project reduces risk of failure for the existing single potable water connection onto the base. Fiscal Year 2021 Award
