This planning effort enhances the lethality of the installation?s mission to support and sustain munition, chemical/biological defense and textile readiness of America?s Joint Warfighters.

Enables the County of McMullen to plan and design 12 miles of improvements along an unimproved, rural road, which is the single access road to the McMullen Range and the Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar - Texas complex. This effort supports the Secretary of War's priority of reestablishing deterrence through enhancing capabilities at the only United States-based radar system in USSOUTHCOM?s surveillance architecture; enhances detection and surveillance capabilities along the southern border; and strengthens mission readiness and lethality at Naval Air Station Kingsville.

Belle Chasse Academy, Inc., an independent LEA and operator of a public charter school at Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, will undertake a $44,939,232 project ($35,951,386 in federal funding and a $8,987,846 non-federal match funding) to design, renovate, and expand its current facilities in response to condition and capacity deficiencies as prioritized by the Secretary of Defense Priority List for the Public Schools on Military Installation Program. The project, when complete, will support the education of over 650 military-affiliated children annually.
