Enables the San Diego Unified Port District to collaborate with Naval Base Coronado, Naval Base Point Loma, and Naval Base San Diego to identify site-specific opportunities for sustainable restoration, enhancement, or retrofitting of existing shorelines throughout San Diego Bay to improve the installation's readiness. The project will result in a digital planning tool - San Diego Bay Sustainable Shoreline Atlas - which will identify shoreline vulnerabilities and provide alternative site-specific, ready solutions. The Atlas will enable stakeholders to improve strategic collaboration and partnerships to pursue funding opportunities for the design, construction, and implementation of shoreline projects throughout San Diego Bay that will support mission readiness. ME	Department of Defense	Statewide	$740,664.00
Enables the Loring Development Authority and the State of Maine to lessen dependency on defense spending by implementing a robust Regional Economic Diversification strategy and economic sustainability plan for the Greater Limestone region. This project will result in the preparation of an Airport Master Plan for the reuse of the former U.S. Air Force aviation complex; an energy capacity and resiliency plan; and a workforce skills evaluation. CO	Pueblo Chemical Depot	Statewide	$111,423.00
Enables the Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority, as it awaits transfer of ownership of acreage from the U.S. Army, to continue oversight associated with the redevelopment of the Pueblo Chemical Depot to include environmental support, Economic Development Conveyance negotiations, legal, audit, and records management services. CT	Department of Defense	Statewide	$1,500,000.00
The State of Connecticut convened the Connecticut Defense Manufacturing Community Consortium, a group of Connecticut-based defense manufacturing stakeholders, to catalyze the digital transformation of Connecticut defense manufacturing companies. The project will bring Model Based Definition technology to all defense prime vertical supply chains in an effort to transform the supply chain from a 2-dimensional design and manufacturing platform to a 3-dimensional platform. Enables the Purdue University Manufacturing Extension Partnership to provide technical assistance to improve the capabilities of at least 36 Indiana small Defense industrial base businesses; increase supply chain awareness; adapt to the requirements of government and industry prime contractors; and identify strategic growth opportunities. This project stimulates cooperation between statewide and local adjustment and diversification efforts making the industrial base more resilient to fluctuations in defense spending. Enables the States of Missouri and Kansas to establish the National Security Crossroads, an effort focused on analyzing current and future workforce needs and natural and man-made threats in the aerospace and defense sectors. SC	Department of Defense	Statewide	$363,759.00
Enables the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce to implement a program to assist defense firms in obtaining cyber security compliance. The objective is to educate and provide technical assistance to defense firms in achieving compliance with DoD's new Cyber security Maturity Model Certification published in 2020. The project leverages the South Carolina Department of Commerce, and the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership to engage small and mid-sized defense firms with resources to assess their compliance and provide follow up assistance on any identified gaps. This project stimulates cooperation between statewide and local adjustment efforts making the industrial base more resilient to cyber threats. Fiscal Year 2020 Award
TN	Department of Defense	Statewide	$370,000.00
Enables the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services and the Tennessee Manufacturing Extension Partnership to identify 250 small and mid-sized defense firms, align them with cybersecurity resources to assess compliance and provide technical assistance to at least 8 companies to mitigate any compliance gaps. The project will also engage companies in conversations about how they could further modernize and diversify their business lines. VA	Department of Defense	Statewide	$989,199.00
Enables the Commonwealth of Virginia, through Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, to provide technical assistance with additive manufacturing technologies to machine shops in Virginia that supply parts for Defense facilities, assets, and prime contractors. This project will develop an additive manufacturing education program for machine shops regarding the technical aspects and business implications of additive manufacturing technology adoption and production requirements. AR	Pine Bluff Arsenal	Installation Readiness	$411,300.00
Enables the City of White Hall, Arkansas to complete a Compatible Use Implementation plan that will address transportation limitations, access road enhancements, map overlay zones near Pine Bluff Arsenal; improvements to agency coordination, communication and review processes; improvements to local planning guidance to limit incompatible development or encroachments; and, educational materials to assist the Arsenal and community leaders in making informed decisions.
